Mike is a technology leader at an Amazon Web Services consulting partner company in Seattle. In 2015 he started collecting game log files from members of the Zwift community by email to compare different systems’ performance. This led to a crowd sourced database with an unofficial benchmarks website called zwiftalizer (homage to the webalizer).
The website stopped collecting logs in May 2019 because it became less relevant as trends continue to move toward tablets, smart phones and set-top boxes as the primary way most people use Zwift. The log file reader is still available for individual use but data is no longer stored.
Mike lives in Washington state 25 miles east of Seattle where some of the best mountain bike trails in the Pacific North West are found. He trains on Zwift daily and occasionally enters cyclocross and mountain bikes races for fun.
